How it works
Your therapist moves a small camera over a few areas, such as the crown, the hairline and behind the ears. The magnified image appears on a screen in front of you. It takes a few minutes, does not hurt, and you do not need to wash your hair beforehand.
What we look for
- Oil: a shiny surface and oil collecting around the roots.
- Dryness: tight-looking skin and small, dry flakes.
- Build-up: dull residue from sweat, styling products or sunscreen.
- Sensitivity: redness or irritated patches.
- The hair itself: how the strands look where they leave the scalp.
How it shapes your head spa
Your therapist uses what you both see to decide where to focus the detox scrub, mask and massage, and explains what your scalp needs in plain words. It is a beauty check, not a medical diagnosis. If anything looks like it needs a doctor, we will say so.
